Unisys Corporation Monday announced that its Global Network Services operation, Latin America and Caribbean Division (LACD), recently upgraded its certification by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance to the ISO 9001:1994 standard.
The certification covers the entire Unisys distributed computing support service areas, DCSS sales, Unisys Direct as well as the service delivery, support center and logistics operations in the region. This latest ISO 9001 certification further validates Unisys established position as a leader in the global delivery of consistent, best-in-class service solutions.

"This latest validation of our global service delivery processes is indicative of Unisys commitment to continuous improvement and quality," said Nick Sandoval, general manager of Unisys Global Network Services, LACD. "In today's competitive global marketplace, ISO certification is increasingly becoming a prerequisite for bidding on large contracts. And from an organizational standpoint, achieving these certifications and maintaining the standards they entail has made us a more disciplined, organized, and proactive entity. As a result, we are efficient and competitive in areas that directly impact customer satisfaction -- including response times, restore times, technical excellence, and overall productivity."
In all, Unisys holds more than 30 ISO certifications for quality assurance and management processes. Unisys maintenance, installation and project management services are ISO 9002 certified for operations in Australia, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Latin America, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States.
