Verilink Corporation (Nasdaq: VRLK), a supplier of access products that link corporate and wireless networks to the Internet and other wide-area network (WAN) services, announced Monday the appointment of Todd Westbrook to the position of vice president of operations.
"Todd is a very welcome addition to Verilink," says Mike Reiff, Verilink executive vice president and chief operating officer. "With his extensive manufacturing experience and expertise in supply chain management, Todd will be instrumental in refining our manufacturing strategy and in integrating manufacturing more tightly with other core business processes."

Westbrook's responsibilities at Verilink will include overseeing all supply chain aspects of the business, from customer order to product fulfillment to support. His manufacturing experience includes twelve years at AVEX Electronics, with positions including vice president of North American operations. During his tenure with AVEX, Westbrook's industry leadership was instrumental in accelerating business growth from $100 million to $800 million, and he was a key architect of the company's international expansion. Most recently, Westbrook was president of ZAE Research, a provider of power conversion technology products.
"The Verilink management team has made great strides in redefining and focusing the company," says Westbrook. "This is an exciting era for telecommunications equipment providers, and I look forward to helping such an innovator to further its execution of plans."
Westbrook is replacing Henry Tinker, who is retiring from the position of vice president of operations at Verilink on March 31, 2000.
Verilink is a leading supplier of WAN access products for telecommunications network service providers and corporate enterprises. Verilink products are designed for easy access to multiple communications services in the changing environment of data, voice, and video communications.
