Black Box Corporation (Nasdaq:BBOX) Monday announced a merger with Cabling Concepts, Inc. Established in 1991 in Lakewood, Ohio, privately held Cabling Concepts provides technical design, installation and maintenance services for premise cabling and related products to customers primarily in the greater Cleveland area. Annual revenues of Cabling Concepts are approximately $3 million.
Commenting on the merger, Jack A. Husch, President of Black Box Network Services - Columbus/Cleveland/Detroit Operations, said, "The addition of Cabling Concepts to the Black Box Network Services family shows our commitment to provide the highest level of on-site technical services. With the combined resources of both organizations, our growth prospects and opportunity to better serve Cleveland area customers have never looked better."

George A. Souris, owner of Cabling Concepts, said, "This is an excellent opportunity for Cabling Concepts, Black Box and our collective customers. Black Box's extensive product and service offerings will enhance our top quality installation business. We're all looking forward to working with Jack and the entire Black Box team." Mr. Souris will serve as Area Manager for the Cleveland branch of Black Box Network Services, reporting to Mr. Husch.
This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
