It combines functions of an, analyser, network monitor and cable tester into one portable unit. It provides monitoring of ATM channels for physical layer statistics and the capability to trap and analyse network traffic using its 1Mbyte capture buffer all at full 0C-3c (155MHz) rates. It can also generate and monitor a variety of network errors and alarms including header errors.
Its powerful file-handling structure allows the engineer to create cells, save them in files, filter VPI/VCIs, capture and analyse ATM cell traffic, modify the captured data and retransmit it. CellView effectively turns the auroraSolo into a traffic generator for IP packets, video, voice and high-level protocols.

Drive keeps control if encoder fails
Devices in the Alspa GD3000E range of drives retain control of a motor in the event of sudden loss of its encoder feedback signal.
Cegelec's variable speed drives for induction motors from 4kW to 2MW offer variable voltage/variable frequency control and flux vector control with or without an encoder.
In encoderless flux vector operation, the Alspa GD3000E gives accurate control of torque and speed clown to frequencies of less than 0.5Hz for motoring and braking conditions. With the use of an encoder, full control of speed and torque is available down to zero speed.
The device is able to transfer from encoder feedback to low bandwidth speed feedback. In process line applications, this signal is often available from adjacent drivers within the system. This feature offers a substantial improvement in long-term systems availability.

Photolith cluster gains acceptance
The Gamma 60 photolithography cluster system built by BLE is being installed in multiple customer locations. The Gamma 60 marks the entry point for BLE into the fully automated tool arena
Modular in design, the Gamma 60 is a flexible, ergonomically designed processing station that can be equipped with modules for photo-resist coat, develop, hard-bake, clean, etch, HDMS vapour prime, softbake and coolplate. Modules are arranged radially around a central pivotal arm, and the arm can have access to up to seven modules in rotation.
The Gamma 60 operating system, set-up and diagnostics are run under Windows NT and accessed through the on-board, flat-panel touchscreen operator interface. For easy maintenance, a remote control software option js available.
To meet throughput and space requirements, there is a cascade hot plate feature for HDMS prime, bake and cool modules. Special Teflon centring pins are located at the corners of the substrate to provide assurance of repeated correct and accurate loading.
