Cirrus Logic has introduced an audio reference design board which supports the use of Crystal AC 97-compliant audio codecs and Intel's Communication and Network Riser (CNR) interface specification for PC motherboards.
The board features software drivers for all major Intel-compatible operating systems, and is compatible with DVD, Dolby Digital AC-3, PC 98 and other state-of-the-art audio formats. It will also enable computer OEMs to evaluate Cirrus Logic audio solutions working in tandem with the new motherboard interface.
