SBS Technologies has launched the CP-6201, a 16-channel asynchronous serial board for 6U CompactPCI. The CP-6201 is suitable for comms applications that require multiple serial ports in a single 6U slot.
The CP-6201 provides 16 high-performance asynchronous EIA-232 serial channels on a single 6U CompactPCI board. Each port has four serial signals (TxD, RxD, CTS and RTS) and supports data transmission rates up to 115.2Kbit/s by using UARTs with 128byte transmit and receive fifos per channel.
A 7.3728MHz oscillator is used to provide standard baud rates that are individually programmable for each channel.
