Driver ICs support video and audio - Brief Article

TDK Semiconductor has introduced two audio/video driver ICs that support two or four video and four audio channels.

Designed for applications including DVD players, VCRs and digital receivers for satellite, cable and terrestrial TV, the AVPro 5000A and 5000B devices are universal driver ICs.

The 5000A is a two video and four audio driver IC. It is designed to support two composite video signals and two pairs of right and left audio signals. It is suited for applications such as Web-TV boxes and VCRs where two composite outputs are required.

The 5000B is a four video and four audio driver IC. It is designed to support two composite video, one set of S-Video (Y & C) and two pairs of right and left audio signals. This device is suitable for applications such as digital set-top boxes and DVD players where both composite and S-Video outputs are required.
