Filtering toolbox aids algorithm developers

Electronics Times, Jan 17, 2000

Now available in the UK from Cambridge Control is the Quantized Filtering Toolbox, a software tool that accelerates the implementation of fixed and floating point digital filters on signal processors as well as asics and FPGAs.

The Toolbox is said to provide algorithm developers with a means of designing and analysing fixed point filters and custom-precision floating point filters using Matlab, the MathWorks' design environment.

Designers now also have a systematic way of performing filter design and analysis of fixed point and custom-precision floating point filters. This replaces the current manual trial-and-error process.
