PageOne Communications has been awarded a two-way paging licence for the UK, offering a service within the 870 to 870.6MHz range and to be used in conjunction with existing spectrum in the 169MHz band. The licence is the first awarded in Europe for two-way paging, and will run alongside traditional systems such as Ermes.
