Amplifier comes in a slot 23 package

Electronics Times, July 24, 2000

Microchip's MCP601 2.7V single supply operational amplifier comes in a small outline transfer-23 (SOT-23) 5pin package. In addition to freeing up board space, the device offers a gain bandwidth product of 2.8MHz, and draws less than 325 micro A of standby current.

The MCP601 is also available in eight lead PDIP 150mil soic and TSSOP packages.

The MCP60X series of single supply CMOS operation amplifiers provides low bias current, high-speed operation, high open-loop gain, and rail to rail output swing.

The common-mode input voltage range can be driven 0.3V below ground. The op amps are unity gain stable, and the entire family is fully specified from 2.7 to 5.5V over the -40 to 85 degrees C temperature range.

Applications include industrial process control and portable equipment.
