Analyser is targeted at I2C bus - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Electronics Times, July 24, 2000

Yokogawa has introduced the latest analyser for the I2C bus.

The DL1540CL analyser combines oscilloscope waveform viewing functions with the ability to trigger on specific I2C bus address and data combinations.

Data is captured into a large (two million word maximum) recording memory and analysed sequentially. Analysed results are decoded and displayed as individual bytes.

In detailed display mode, the address and the data value are displayed in binary and hex notation. In waveform and data display mode, when a cursor is moved over the on-screen data, the corresponding waveform can be automatically enlarged in a zoom area.

This is said to make it easy to compare transmitted data alongside waveforms, providing efficient I2C analysis.

A search function will rapidly scan for a specific address or data value and then automatically display the corresponding waveform in the zoom window. This feature is said to be particularly useful for verifying a control sequence on an I2C bus.
