SBC offers user a high PC/104 compliance - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Electronics Times, July 24, 2000

The AT32/4C5 single board computer (SBC) from DataSound Laboratories offers high performance, PC/104 compliance and compatibility with PC/AT architecture.

Possessing 5 x 88 133MHz processors, the system memory on the AT32/4C5 16bit bus CPU provides from 8 to 16Mbyte of DRAM with 16Mbit of TSOP DRAM.

The bios is located in a flash EEPROM and is reprogrammable on-board. The set up parameters are saved on an EEPROM which allows the module to operate without a battery, and which provides 64byte of user- defined memory.

The SBC also has an integrated solid state disk which has two 532pin sockets and gives the performance of one of two floppy disks which can be used to store the operating system, user programs and data files. Fast Boot mode gets the system up and running from the SSD in less than four seconds.

Other peripherals incorporated in the AT32/4C5 include two serial ports, one parallel port, AT keyboard port, realtime clock and a watchdog.
