Microcontroller offers low pin count

Electronics Times, May 8, 2000

Temic Semiconductors has made available a low-pin-count version of its standard 80C51 microcontroller series, featuring 16Kbyte OTP/rom and 512byte ram.

Based on the 80C51 architecture, the T83C5101 is suited for applications where large memory size for program and data are required, but a high number of I/Os is not necessary.

Three memory configurations are available: T87C5101 (16Kbyte OTP), T83C5101 (16Kbyte rom) and T83C5102 (8Kbyte rom).

Housed in a 24pin dil, 24pin SO or 24pin SSOP, the devices are available in commercial and industrial temperature ranges and operate at 66MHz at 5V or 40MHz at 3V. Volume production and samples are available now.
