January 9-12. Washington, D.C. THE 48th WASHINGTON ANTIQUES SHOW will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Placido and Marta Domingo are the Honorary Chairmen of this event, a benefit for The Thrift Shop Charities, which will showcase forty-five premier dealers in fine and decorative arts. At a luncheon on January 9, Dr. Geza von Habsburg, a renowned authority on Faberge and Russian art, will speak on 'Treasures of the Tsars-Russian Gold Boxes from Peter the Great to Nicholas II." Ft. Lauderdale's largest antiques extravaganza with 200 international exhibitors. ANNUAL ANNAPOLIS HERITAGE ANTIQUES SHOW Celebrating its 33rd year, the Annapolis Heritage Antiques Show will feature dealers from 13 states and England with American and English period furniture and clocks; paintings and watercolors; Chinese export, Staffordshire, majolica, and Quimper, Oriental rugs, antique linens, laces and textiles; jewelry and silver; children's and illustrated books; scientific instruments and marine antiques; folk art and Shaker items; garden ornament, and much more. Special events include a Gala Preview Party on Thursday, January 16, 7-9pm, and oral appraisals of antiques on Friday and Saturday, 11am to 4pm.
