August 17 & 18. Somerset, NJ. ANTIQUES WEEK END IN SOMERSET. 200 exhibitors will offer fine silver, glass, paintings and prints, formal, country & Victorian furniture, antique and costume jewelry, ceramics, porcelains, Asian antiques, lighting, dolls, toys and more. "The Art of Restoration" is the theme of this year's seminar series at Antiques Weekend in Somerset presented by Dianna Tindell of Tindell's Restoration Schools and Studios, Nashville, Tennessee. She will share her vast expertise with show customers on the ho-to's of restoration -- how to know what precious items can be restored or repaired; how to decide if you can do it yourself at home or if you need a professional; how to locate and select a specialist; how to find new repair products and techniques. In addition there will be a panel of restoration experts on site for repair of jewelry and timepieces, linens and lace, trunks, glass, lamps & lighting, porcelain, ivory, wood and ceramics, along with open mike verbal appraisals. Show hours are Sa turday & Sunday 11am-6pm. Seminars are included in price of admission.
