Dennis Miller Bunker's largest known figurative painting, A Win ter's Tale of Sprites and Goblins, was the artists first significant endeavor upon setding in Boston in 1885. The title comes from The Winter's Tale, Shakespeare's comedy which includes the line, "A sad tale's best for winter, I have one of sprites and goblins."
