This large and festive event, now in its 28th year, features 200 exhibitors in lovely Sussex County, New Jersey with lots of nearby antiques centers and restaurants, just 55 minutes west of the George Washington Bridges. Antique lovers will find the northeast's largest selection of affordable furniture at this show-country, Victorian, folk, rustic, formal, funky, wicker, primitives, garden, architectural and more. May 29-31. Chadds Ford, PA. BRANDYWINE RIVER MUSEUM ANTIQUES SHOW. A beautiful show in a beautiful setting, the Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show opens with a Preview Reception on Friday, May 28, 6-9 p.m., and continues Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Held at the Brandywine River Museum on Route 1 in Chadds Ford, the show features dealers from around the country offering fine American and English formal and country furniture, accessories, and folk art from the 17th through early 19th C. To accompany the 33rd annual show, the Museum presents a special exhibition, Extreme Creamware: Surprising Forms and Diverse Decorations. On Saturday, May 29th, 9:30a.m., Suzanne Regnier will share her expertise by leading a tour of the exhibition, following a continental breakfast in the Museum Restaurant at 9 a.m. Tickets to the breakfast and lecture are $20 and include show admission. Tickets to the Preview Party are $100 and advance reservations are recommended. General admission is $10.
