Saudi AirCon '91. Riyadh. Sept. 8-12, 1991. This show is rescheduled from an earlier date. The U.S. Department of Commerce will organize the U.S. pavilion as an integral part of the show. Saudi AirCon '91 is the first exhibition dedicated to the airconditioning, ventilation, heating, and refrigeration industry. The U.S. pavilion was sold out prior to the Gulf War and continued to draw U.S. industry's interest during the conflict. Saudi Arabia is one of the world's largest markets for airconditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, and is by far the largest importer in the Middle East, providing opportunities worth more than $376 million annually to manufacturers and suppliers. Demand for airconditioning equipment and services is increasing at a 5 percent annual rate as the Kingdom maintains its position as the world's third largest construction market. The region's harsh climate and society's growing demand for airconditioning systems dictate that all new buildings should incorporate sophisticated climate control systems. In addition, considerable demand has resulted from a massive restoration program which emphasizes more efficient operation of buildings. Substantial new demand will be generated from implementation of the Kuwait Reconstruction Program. Saudi AirCon '91 will provide an unprecedented opportunity for manufacturers and suppliers of airconditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment to meet with key specifying and procurement authorities from both the private and public sectors. The exhibition will take place in conjunction with Saudi Elenex '91, the Kingdom's established electricity and electronic engineering trade show. The Commerce Department will organize and sponsor a U.S. pavilion with booths, advance publicity, and full exhibitor support services. The participation fee is $4,300 for a 3 X 3 meter booth and $5,200 for a 3 X 4 meter booth.
