U.S. Groups at Communications '90 and the Which Computer? Trade Fairs. Birmingham, England. April 24-27, 1990. The 1990 edition of the fairs will be the tenth in a series of very successful events for both. The previous computer show had more than 550 exhibitors and nearly 66,700 visitors, while the communications show had 450 total exhibitors--36 of which were from the United States. The organizer has high expectations that these shows will continue to be the top trade fairs in the United Kingdom for their respective industries. The Which Computer? show will feature products in the following categories: computer hardware, peripherals, applications software, networks and consulting services. Communications '90 features such product lines as networking and data communications; telephony; cable and satellite links; test equipment; computers and connectivity; fixed and mobile radios; telex and facsimile; components and sub-assemblies; carrier, information and consulting services; communication distributors, dealers and agents; modems and multiplexers; and fiber optics. In certifying these two events, the Commerce Department assures U.S. industry that the organizer is reliable and that the market has good potential for U.S. industry exports. Furthermore, the Commerce Department Commercial Office in London will provide staff to be present at the event and to give a pre-event briefing to the U.S. exhibitors. U.S. Group in Farnborough International 1990. Farnborough, England. Sept. 2-9, 1990. Product areas sought for the U.S. group will be from U.S. manufacturers and service providers in the aerospace industry. The products and services exhibited will represent the latest U.S. technology for commercial aerospace applications. The organizer is the American Aerospace Industry, Inc. (AAI). AAI has successfully organized U.S. groups at major air shows worldwide since 1974. Its clients have included some of the most prestigious companies in the industry, as well as small companies wishing to initiate exporting.
