The Japanese Bond Markets: An Overview and Analysis. Edited by Frank J. Fabozzi. Published by Amacom, New York, 1990. 182 pp. $29.95.

The authors have compiled this reference guide to examine everything from whether the 1992 process will succeed to the possible advantages and disadvantages of locating in one country as compared to another.

The guide begins with an overview of the 1992 process which includes its history, trends to watch for, and tips on how to track the progress of the department. The work continues with individual business outlooks for nearly a dozen different industries.

One feature of the book is a "1992 Analysis Matrix." This decision-aiding model developed by the authors includes a four-step plan designed to show readers how to spot where opportunites exist for their company and how to take advantage of those opportunities. The guide also features explanations of the "300 directives," the EC's organization and legislative systems, the new monetary system, and the basics of doing business abroad.

The authors conclude with a list of five directories detailing names, addresses, and phone numbers that readers can turn to for further assistance.
