Paul O'Day Named To Key ITA Post

Paul T. O'Day, formerly Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade Development, has been appointed Eputy Assistant Secretary for Foreign Commercial Operations in the Commerce Department's International Trade Administration.

In this capacity, O'Day--a federal career employee and recent recipient of the President's meritorious executive rank award--is responsible for management of the U.S.Foreign and Commercial Service operations in U.S. embassies and consulates in more than 120 foreign locations.

O'Day has held a number of other senior staff and management positions in the Commerce Department, including the post of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Textiles and Apparel, and served as assistant to three Secretaries of Commerce.
