Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedITA reports survey foreign markets for U.S. exporters - International Trade Administration
Business America, Oct 29, 1984
U.S. exporters can now benefit from three new publication series of detailed information on potential foreign markets.
Issued by the Commerce Department's International Trade Administration, these publications can help exporters with marketing plans for most major industries and nearly all countries.
Country Trade Statistics analyze 150 leading U.S. exports to selected countries. Each report identifies U.S. products with the best export potential to one country, and compares each export's rate of growth over the last five years with the growth of U.S. exports to the world at large. Each survey sells for $25; a complete set (154 countries) is $750.

International Market Research surveys examine several promising markets from a selected industry. They include information on end-users, their purchasing plans, usual marketing practices, and trade restrictions. The studies also list major potential buyers, government purchasing agencies, and other key organizations. The cost per survey ranges from $50 to $200.
Annual Worldwide Industry Reviews, the most inclusive of the three publication series, first analyze a chosen industry's export opportunities worldwide, then give more detailed information on the most promising countries. The cost per volume is $200.
For further information on these three publications series, contact any Commerce Department district office, or write: Office of Trade Information Services, U.S. Department of Commerce, P.O. Box 14207, Washington, D.C. 20044; tel (202) 377-2432.
