The development bank business market: a five year scenario, 1985-1989. - book reviews

Business America, May 27, 1985

In recent years, the development bank business market has expanded to become a prominent source of business opportunities open to international bidding. According to The Development Bank Business Market, the world's 25 development banks and funds last year committed $28.4 billion to projects throughout the developing world. It points out that over the next five years $184 billion will be committed to Third World projects by these banks and funds, which include the African, Asian, Inter-American Development Banks and the World Bank.

The text of this report provides answers to the following questions: Where are development bank funds being committed and to which sectors? How much will the development banks be lending in the near and longer term future? How will those funds be spent? What's in planning now? Which regions and countries will benefit most? How much will each bank commit to projects in each sector?
