Send them to Saudi Arabia?

House Republican Majority Leader Dick Armey, recently interviewed by Chris Matthews on MSNBC's Hardball program, has just the solution for the crisis in the Middle East: deport the Palestinians. He agrees they need their own state, but not in any lands which "belong" to Israel, including the West Bank and Gaza.

To an incredulous Matthews, Armey said: "I'm content to have Israel grab the entire West Bank. I'm also content to have the Palestinians have a homeland and even for that to be somewhere near Israel.... There are many Arab nations that have many hundreds of thousands of acres of land and ... opportunity to create a Palestinian state." After all, he reasons, many people currently living in "Palestine" moved there from elsewhere. Surely the Palestinians can move to get their own state. Sounds like another trail of tears.
