* A clergyman in the Church of Ireland has resigned his post three days before appearing in a church court on charges of heresy. Andrew Furlong, dean of Clonmacnoise and rector of Trim and Athboy, had been under pressure to resign since publishing an article in November questioning the doctrine of the incarnation.
