JERUSALEM VISIT: Presiding Bishop S. Hanson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (center) met with representatives of 13 Jerusalem churches at an ecumenical dinner May 26, praising them for their unity in a time of crisis. Hanson led the eight-member ELCA delegation to show support for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan (and Palestine), which is led by Bishop Munib Younan (1). Joining their discussion is Cesare Marjieh, director of the Department for Christian Communities in Israel's Ministry of Religious Affairs.
