A new survey of Presbyterian ministers shows that male pastors spend more time on sermon preparation and visiting the sick than do their female colleagues

> * A new survey of Presbyterian ministers shows that male pastors spend more time on sermon preparation and visiting the sick than do their female colleagues. The routine poll of clergy in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) showed that female pastors spend slightly more time than men "teaching about faith," attending meetings and "working on the congregation's future." The report said the differences may "stem from the fact that men are more likely to be senior pastors and women more likely to be associate pastors." The denomination has about 21,000 ministers, 3,800 of whom are women.
