* The U.S. Postal Service has announced that the Eid postage stamp will be reissued on October 10 at the current first-class rate of 37 cents. A 34-cent Eid stamp was first issued September 1, 2001, at the annual Islamic Society of North America's convention. After the terrorist attacks ten days later, however, many Muslims were wary about calling attention to themselves by using the stamp, which marks the festive end to the fasting month of Ramadan.

The Eid stamp shows the Arabic greeting "Eid mubarak" in gold calligraphy on a blue background, along with its English translation.
