Worship at St. Gregory's …
Christian Century, Jan 11, 2003 by Steven Giovangelo
HAVING WORSHIPED twice at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco, I do not think I could take a steady spiritual diet of the liturgical and theological eclecticism that transpires there ("Back to the future," by Trudy Bush, Nov. 20-Dec. 3). Besides, I am a terrible and self-conscious dancer who cannot balance a bulletin and make my wooden feet do something rhythmic.
St. Gregory's, however, is a good example of what faith traditions might look like as this century progresses. My hat is off to the people there for being theological trailblazers.
That is precisely what makes us prophetic and catholic in the Anglican tradition.
