Methodist bishops open D.C. office

Christian Century, Nov 2, 2004

The United Methodist Church bishops have opened their first permanent office in Washington with retired Bishop Roy I. Sano staffing the post at the Methodists' building situated across the street from the Capitol and the U.S. Supreme Court.

The building, which already houses other United Methodist agencies, such as those dealing with public affairs and ecumenical activities, is also the international headquarters for the Council of Bishops.
