Caption: FOR SALE: The Archdiocese of Boston has announced that it will sell the cardinal's Boston residence, shown December 4. The archdiocese will also sell 28 surrounding acres to help pay the $85 million settlement with clergy sex-abuse victims. But to acquire funds sooner for the settlement costs, the archdiocese also will secure loans from a bank and a retired-clergy fund by putting up as security its St. John's Seminary and Holy Cross Cathedral, reported the Boston Globe.
