John Dart named Century's news editor

Beginning with this issue, John Dart will assume the position of news editor for the CHRISTIAN CENTURY. Dart, who for many years was religion reporter at the Los Angeles Times, is the author of several books, including The Jesus of Heresy and History. His book Deities and Deadlines is a widely used sourcebook for journalists.
He has been president of the Religion Newswriters Association and a visiting fellow at Vanderbilt University's First Amendment Center.
