The Protestant Hour, the longtime ecumenical radio program, is piping new theme music across the air-waves

* The Protestant Hour, the longtime ecumenical radio program, is piping new theme music across the air-waves. For many years, the theme has been based on Martin Luther's hymn "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God." As of October 14, it was replaced by a more contemporary tune based on the "Doxology," a song of praise used by many Protestant churches.
The program added other background music selections and a brief postsermon interview. "All these improvements are designed to make The Protestant Hour an even more enjoyable and inspiring experience for our listeners," said Peter Wallace, executive producer. The music was composed and produced by Jim Ellis Music Productions of Atlanta. Heard on 140 radio stations, the program is produced by the Episcopal Media Center, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the United Methodist Church.
