* Evangelist Billy Graham completed a four-day evangelistic rally in Fresno, California, despite suffering a broken foot in an early morning fall two days prior to the October 11-14 event. The 82-year-old Graham stood each time he preached. The Saturday evening crowd of 62,000 broke an attendance record for the football stadium at California State University, Fresno--home to a team that was surprisingly ranked tenth nationally in the polls.

More than 500 churches representing 54 denominations in the Fresno area were involved in the event.
