FAKE BUCKS FOR THE KETTLES: Roey Thorpe, executive director of Basic Rights Oregon, holds a $3 bill printed off the Internet. Thorpe and other gay-rights activists want to stuff such bills into Salvation Army donation kettles to protest the charity's decision not to offer health insurance benefits to same-sex partners of its employees.
