LUTHERANS and Episcopalians are celebrating their Call to Common Mission, but the new arrangement is not quite as close as Walter Brueggemann indicates ("Biblical authority," Jan. 3-10). Lutherans have not lost 56 of Luther's 95 theses, in effect reducing the number to 39 to match the articles of the Church of England.
