> * Gibson Winter, 85, an ethics professor and a social activist, died April 3 at a Chesterton, Maryland, hospital from complications brought on by pneumonia. An Episcopal priest, Winter was the author of several books, including The Suburban Captivity of the Churches (1962). A member of the University of Chicago faculty from 1956 to 1975, he then moved to Princeton Theological Seminary, teaching there for another ten years.
