Fantasia

Thank you for the article, "Fantasia's Lifesaving Turnaround" (July 2005). It seems that she has come a long way in the music business. She inspires me. Her performances on American Idol last year were wonderful. It's just the beginning of remarkable things to come for such a phenomenal young woman.

Good luck in the future, Fantasia, and keep up the good work.

I just wanted to drop a note to say that I enjoyed reading the article you had in your July issue about Fantasia. I always felt Fantasia was what you would call "the real thing." She represents the title "Idol" in so many ways.

Fantasia represents so much: Youth, because she is so young and full of life and can be an example to many; courage, because she had what it took to get up and leave an abusive relationship; strength, in spite of what the world throws at her, she manages to show that a single mother can survive it all and continue to reach for the stars. But most of all, she represents power, because she always remembers to put God first, for we all know we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

I'm proud to say and agree with others, Fantasia represents every letter of the word IDOL. EBONY, thanks for the lovely article.
