Ebony bookshelf

Ebony,  Sept, 2005  by Chris Haraway

While reading the Ebony Bookshelf (July 2005), I came across an interview with writer Terry McMillan, who states, "There is a backlash against Black writers now ..." I would like to note that it's not a Black or White issue, but that writers of every race face this same problem. Society has become lazier and therefore prefers the easy read, or erotic read, to literature with depth.
