Jeniffer Harper

THE SIEMENS FOUNDATION
Jeniffer Harper is vice president of the New Jersey-based Siemens Foundation, which gives an estimated $2 million in college scholarships and awards annually to talented high school and college students from around the nation. Harper is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Foundation and its signature programs, including the Siemens Competition in math, science and technology; the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement; and the Siemens Teacher Scholarships. Since joining the Siemens Foundation in 2002 as program manager and later director, Harper has served as the primary liaison between the foundation and its business partners, the College Board; the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund; the United Negro College Fund; and the foundation's six university partners that host the Siemens Competition in math, science and technology regional events. Prior to joining the foundation, which is based in Iselin, N.J., Harper was manager of recruitment for Siemens Energy and Automation. She is active in the community, serving as a member of the National Urban League and the NAACP. Harper received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Southern University at Baton Rouge. She lives in Mount Laurel N.J., and is engaged to Darryl Taylor.
James Collins

James Collins is the general manager of McDonald's Greater Southwest Region. He oversees the operations, franchising and training functions of more than 675 restaurants across four states, and annual sales top $1.1 billion. He previously served as U.S. vice president of operations of McDonald's Greater Southwest Region. Before accepting that position in 2001, Collins held a variety of jobs at McDonald's, including operations manager, field service manager, director of operations in Cleveland and district manager in Detroit. He has been recognized numerous times for his leadership skills and dedication to the McDonald's brand. He is active in the community, serving as a volunteer with the Urban League of Dallas and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, he sits on the board of directors of Big Brother/Big Sister of Detroit. He lives in Detroit with his wife, Patricia, and their three children--a son, Cordell, and daughters, Shareka and Jasmine.
Helene D. Gayle
PRESIDENT AND CEO CARE USA
Helene D. Gayle, M.D., a board-certified pediatrician, is the president and CEO of CARE, the world-renowned international poverty-fighting organization. She is the first African-American and the first woman to lead the Atlanta-based humanitarian organization in its 60-year history. In her role, Dr. Gayle will work to bring the plight of the poor to the world stage and seek solutions. Dr. Gayle brings years of global health experience to CARE, including two decades at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she directed the National Center for HIV, STD and TB Prevention. She also led the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's multimillion-dollar effort to eliminate HIV/AIDS around the globe. She has received dozens of awards for her work and has published numerous articles on public health. Dr. Gayle received a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York.
