Childhood obesity

I am writing in response to the article, "The Battle Against Childhood Obesity" (March 2006), written by Lynette R. Holloway. I was overjoyed to come across the article that was so thorough in expressing how dangerous being obese truly is. Not many people are aware of the fact that, according to the U.S. Surgeon General, 300,000 deaths occur each year in the United States that are associated with obesity.
I appreciate the great effort you have put into spreading the word throughout the African-American community, which, according to medical experts, is most at risk for obesity, whether it is childhood obesity or obesity in adults.
