The new Harlem - Letters To The Editors

I have been a subscriber of EBONY for many years (1965-2001). I have read lots of interesting articles that have kept me informed. But what a remarkable special section, "The New Harlem" (Aug. 2001). You have no idea what it did for my pride. I am an African-American woman who is 73 years young.

We are from slave ancestors who were a people of great strength, faith and courage to overcome the worst of times.

Good luck, Harlem! I will be sure to let my grandkids read this article.
