JUANITA R. MITCHELL is a member of the executive management group for Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, the largest global market for the Swedish automotive manufacturer. Mitchell, who reports directly to the president and CEO, has more than 22 years of expertise in operational and functional leadership for Volvo, where she continues to provide creativity in strategic initiatives and in cross-organizational management.

The vice president of human resources also oversees the PAG Diversity Council for European Brands. She recently directed the employee support and coast-to-coast relocation process of the corporation from Rockleigh, N.J., to Irvine, Calif. Mitchell joined Volvo in 1980 as owner relations supervisor and was responsible for customer relationship management and field support. She received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Virginia State University and a master's in education from the State University of New York. She is a member of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals, the Society of Human Resource Managers and serves as a mentor in the Women Unlimited organization. The executive, who has a daughter, lives in Dove Canyon, Calif.
