Ron Hawkins: vice president and national ombudsman, McDonald's Corporation

AS vice president and national ombudsman for the McDonald's Corporation, Ron Hawkins monitors the policies and practices for McDonald's United States franchisees and its corporate employees. He is the first Black person to hold this position. A 33-year veteran of McDonald's, Hawkins has held several managerial positions, including director of operations in Philadelphia, director of diversity operations, and senior director of franchise relations.
During his tenure at McDonald's, he has earned the President's Award and Corporate Awards from the Black McDonald's Association and the Hispanic Operators Association. He received a business degree from Prince George's Community College in Largo, Md. Hawkins and his wife of 25 years, Santa, live in Naperville, Ill., with their two daughters, Tanisha and Sharday.
