Breast cancer

In regard to the article, "I Survived Breast Cancer" (Oct. 2004), I would like to thank Joy Bennett Kinnon. The article was an eye-opener for me. It was very informative and it answered several questions for me.

It also cleared up a myth. I learned that you don't have to have a family history to have breast cancer. Most important of all, get a checkup every year. To you and your staff, keep up the good work. EBONY is No. 1!
