Janet Jackson - Letters To The Editor
Ebony, Jan, 2002
When I heard that Janet would be gracing the cover of your magazine, I rushed to the supermarket! And there she was, all sweet and beautiful, right on the front cover ("Janet On Her Sexuality, Spirituality, Failed Marriages And Lessons Learned," Nov. 2001). Thank you so much for paying tribute to such a beautiful soul. I have been a big fan of Janet's for many years, and your article gave me a better appreciation for this shining star! The fact that Janet has such a close relationship with God and that she is diverse and doesn't discriminate based upon someone's sexual preference is very exemplary.
She is versatile, sweet, open-minded, kind, humble, graceful, polished, sculpted (those abs!!), intriguing, breathtaking. What else can I say?!! She's just very striking, and the way she sings and dances just exudes sensuality, and we love her for it! I look forward to more years of great music, spectacular concerts and incredible dancing from such a strong figure in the industry!
Janet, I am so glad that you have found real happiness at this point in your life. You truly deserve it!

Thanks for featuring my girl, Janet Jackson, on the cover of your November issue. She is and will always be the "Queen of Pop-Soul." She is a very talented and beautiful person, and I've idolized her since she played "Penny" on Good Times.
Janet is truly an icon. People like Britney Spears can imitate, but they can't duplicate Janet. Janet will always be No. 1!
