Tribute to a king - Travel Guide - honoring Martin Luther King Jr - Brief Article
Ebony, Jan, 2002 by Joy Bennett Kinnon
Courage or cowardice? Faith or fear? These were not just choices for the 1960s when Martin Luther King Jr.'s ministry was most active. They are also choices for these times. King often faced danger and fear, yet he persisted. This month as the country struggles to regain its footing in the aftermath of attacks, we honor a man who lived with constant terror and yet exemplified faith and courage every day. He would have been 73 this month and the King family and King Center encourage supporters of King's Dream to give a day of service in honor of his work and his life.
