BEVERLEY SIBBLIES is senior vice president and chief accounting officer for Household International, Inc. She is responsible for all accounting activities for the company, including financial planning, management reporting, accounting controls, accounting policy research, external reporting and financial information systems.
She reports directly to Simon C. Penney, senior executive vice president and CFO. "Beverly brings a wealth of knowledge and many strengths to this role, including her financial industry expertise and leadership ability," Penney says. Prior to joining the company, Sibblies, a 17-year veteran in the audit and financial services industry and a certified public accountant, served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for EMC Mortgage, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bear Stearns. Sibblies, who received a bachelor's degree from Queens College in Flushing, New York, began her career at Deloitte, formerly Deloitte Haskins & Sells, where she spent 14 years and later served as a partner in the financial services practice of Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
