AIR FORCE GENERAL COUNSEL
Jeh Charles Johnson is general counsel for the Department of the Air Force. Johnson, who was nominated for the post by President Clinton, is responsible for providing legal advice, counsel and guidance to the Secretary of the Air Force and other senior leadership. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Morehouse College and a law degree from Columbia University School of Law. He and his wife reside in Montclair, N.J., with their two children.
GOVERNOR'S EXECUTIVE COUNSEL
Penny Brown Reynolds is executive counsel in the Georgia governor's office. As the first African-American in Georgia's history to hold this position, Reynolds provides legal advice to the governor on policy and legislative issues. A cum laude graduate of Georgia State University, Reynolds earned a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. The native of LaPlace, La., resides in Fayette County, Ga., with her husband, the Rev. Edward S. Reynolds. The couple has two children.
SPACE CENTER CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Barbara Brown (right) is chief information officer for the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Fla. She is responsible for security, planning, program integration and implementation of all communications and computing systems. She is also in charge of information resources re-engineering and architecture for all KSC computing systems. Brown has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Florida State University and a master's in engineering management from the University of Central Florida.
