The Short Wave - clothing style trends - Brief Article

Ebony, April, 2001 by Eunice W. Johnson

Designer collections for spring 2001 signal a strong return of the miniskirt, as well as a surge in confidence among stylish women. Since miniskirts first titillated the world in the early '60s, the mini has never completely left the fashion scene, though it has come and gone only to reemerge at various times. In recent years, minis have been seen on runways and on the streets consistently in increasing numbers. Designers are showcasing miniskirts that range from short to supershort to micromini-short. There are shorts suits, tube skirts, mini cocktail dresses, and dressy mini suits, such as a sleeveless two-piece outfit from Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.

Spring/Summer 2001 is peak mini season, and women who have great legs can strut their assets with assurance and style.
